A Common Bio-medical Waste treatment nad Disposal Facilities Visit - Nari Gam:

• On this day onsite visit and evaluation of a common bio medical waste treatment facility (Nari village) were done by the Microbiology department of government medical college Bhavnagar organized by the HIC committee of Sir T Hospital Bhavnagar.

• Following officers/employees Dr. Kairavi Desai, Dr. Ravindra Jadeja, ICNs, AHA, and Resident dotors evaluated the site .

Training on Post Covid Fungal Infection :

• Department has conducted workshop on "Post Covid Fungal Infection" on 2nd June 2021.Faculties and Residents of various department have been joined the workshop.

HIC Training :

• Conducted on 8th to 14th October 2022

• Training was given by faculties of Microbiology on hospital infection control , Biomedical waste management

• Training was given to Resident doctors of various department, nursing staff , laboratory technicians ,Class 4.

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week :

• Celebrated from 18th to 24th November

Microbiology Department of Government Medical College and Sir Takhtsinhji Hospital , Bhavnagar has organized various activities to create awareness about “Antimicrobial Resistance “ for medical students, resident doctors , faculties , paramedical staff and general public like,

• Poster making competition for undergraduate and post graduate students of Government medical college,Bhavnagar.

• Hands-on training of hand hygiene at different wards , ICU of Sir T Hospital Bhavnagar.

• Spreading awareness through Social media .
